Dr. Suren Jayasuriya is an assistant professor at Arizona State University, in the School of Arts, Media and Engineering (AME) and Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering (ECEE). Before this, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Suren received his Ph.D. in ECE at Cornell University in Jan 2017 and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 with a B.S. in Mathematics (with departmental honors) and a B.A. in Philosophy.

His research interests range from computational cameras, computer vision and graphics, acoustical imaging, machine learning, sensors, STEAM education, and philosophy. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and listening to jazz, reading/discussing philosophy, and traveling.

Greg Vetaw is a PhD student at Arizona State University, in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering (ECEE). He has received the Dean's Fellowship from the Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU and DoD SMART Scholarship in 2023. His research interests includes deep learning for automatic target recognition (ATR), machine learning for generating artificial images, and segmentation applications particularly in the field of acoustic imaging research.

Joshua Rego is a PhD student at Arizona State University in the school of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering (ECEE). Previously, he obtained his MS in Electrical Engineering at ASU in 2020, and a BSE in Electrical Engineering at ASU in 2017. His research interests are in computational photography including lensless imaging and cameras and light transport.

Ripon Kumar Saha is a Ph.D. student at Arizona State University, in the School of Computer Engineering(CE). He received his MS at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea in 2020. Ripon received his BS in Computer science and Engineering at Jessore University of Science and Technology in 2017. His research interests are in long-range imaging through turbulence.

Lein de Leon Yong, from Mexico City, is a former film editor who is now pursuing a Ph.D (2nd year). She graduated from film school in 2003 and obtained a Master's Degree in Art History/Film Studies from Mexico National University in 2018, with the thesis "Neoliberal Footprints: Film Style and Cultural Myth as Audiovisual Advertising Tool" which was partially researched at the University of Texas at Austin. She has been enrolled in the Arts, Media, and Engineering Ph.D. program at Arizona State University since August 2021 and has been awarded the Conacyt National Postgraduate Studies Grant, the Comexus-Fulbright Grant, the Graduate Funding Grant from Arizona State University, and the Conacyt Foreign Graduate Studies Grant.

Omkar Shailendra Vengurlekar is a 1st year PhD student in Computer Engineering at Arizona State University. Prior to this, he received his MS in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (AI concentration) at Arizona State University in 2024. Omkar received his B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Pune in April 2020.


His research interests are in Machine Learning, Multi-Modal Computer Vision, Computational Imaging and Acoustic Imaging.

Yujun (Katherine) Chen is a 1st year Ph.D. student in Media Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University. Yujun is an independent filmmaker, deeply influenced by Auteur theory. She holds a Bachelor of Cinema and Television and a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing. With over a decade of experience as a director, producer, editor, and cinematographer, Yujun has cultivated a robust career in independent filmmaking. Her short films have received international recognition, being selected for over 50 film festivals worldwide and earning numerous awards. Yujun's research interests are deeply rooted in the intersection of traditional film theory and emerging digital innovations, with a particular focus on virtual production.

J Stanley is a PhD student in Media Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University. She is also an Instructional Designer with the Fulton Schools of Engineering Learning and Teaching Hub. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Agriculture Technology Management, a M.A.E. in Agriculture Education and a M.S. in Educational Technology. Her research interests are in engineering education and learning particularly at the intersection of native communities and AI/XR technologies.

Aaron Saju Augustine is an MS student pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University. He received his B.Tech with Honours in 2021 in Computer Science Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H)  where he worked with professors at the Centre for Visual Information Technology (CVIT).

His research interests align with the intersection of computer vision and graphics, particularly in the fields of illumination, light transport and estimation, relighting and view synthesis
