In support of Arizona State University's charter as well as its mission of service and of thought-partnering with private enterprise, government, and non-profit organizations, Dr. Davis serves as an Associate Teaching Professor at ASU and director of the Leadership Innovations Lab. He also coordinates the Teaching Innovations Exchange (T.I.E.) in the school of Applied Professional Studies (APS) in CISA, and he is the Faculty Advisor (Circle Leader and Chair of the Board) for ASU's "Sun Devils Circle" of the national leadership honors society Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK, est. 1914).
Prior to joining ASU, Dr. Davis served in the editorial division of Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc., first as a researcher and writer, and ultimately as associate editor of world geography as well as Latin American history and culture. From 2002 he began teaching geography as an adjunct professor at Chicago State University, Governors State University, Joliet Junior College, and Waubonsee Community College. While pursuing his doctoral degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago he designed geography and anthropology courses as a graduate instructor, entered the world of market research as an applied ethnographer, and served as an adjunct professor at Pima Community College and Phoenix College.
