Through my own years as a student of mathematics, I've come to truly appreciate the power of discussion in solidifying understanding. As a teaching assistant at ASU, I actively promote discussions and create a space where students can grapple with concepts and learn from each other. Abstract concepts resonated with me most when I could visualize them. This translates directly to my teaching style, where I guide students to develop their own visual vocabulary for understanding challenging mathematical ideas especially in Graph Theory.
