Haley Beck's Portfolio

Hi!

My name is Haley and this is my portfolio. Writing for me has always been an assignment for school or extracurriculars. I have viewed writing as a task that needed to be completed, which is why I struggle to edit or spend extra time on my writing. Over this writing course, I have grown to enjoy the writing process. I have learned to be more passionate in my writing, which has allowed me to expand my writing experience beyond writing in a strictly formal setting. Writing is meant to be read, so being thoughtful and fully committing my voice to my writing has helped improve not only the flow but the message I am writing. This will be helpful throughout my college years and later on. As it is a crucial skill in order to make myself clear and heard.

My portfolio will showcase my course work in the Writer's Studio. This portfolio only contains my progress through English 102. My portfolio is filled with examples of how I have developed as a writer and editor. These examples will allow me to come back and review the writing technique and processes this class is giving me. My portfolio is a road map of how I am successful in my own writing.
