Welcome to EDT 180!!
Spring 2024
This course is designed to give you an overview of technologies, using Dewey’s Four Impulses to guide our discussions. You will use a wide assortment of digital tools for personal and professional productivity.
There is no textbook; all resources are within the modules or can be found online for free.
Course Pacing: The course follows a weekly format and moves at a very fast pace over the next 7.5 weeks! Generally, you can expect to spend 15-18 hours to complete each week’s work. You should plan on completing the work over several sessions throughout the week rather than wait until the night the assignments are due.
It is important to note that late work is not accepted. I will be genuinely sympathetic if your computer died, you went on a trip and couldn't find a WiFi hotspot, or your internet went down, but I will not be able to give you points for the assignment unless you turned it in before midnight (Arizona time) on the night assignments are due. That is why it is ideal to start early in the week.
