For this assignment, you will choose one of 12 tools, learn how to use it, then use the tool to create and share an artifact along with a two-paragraph summary of your research, exploration, and thoughts about the tool.
How will you learn how to use it? Finding good information that teaches us how to do things is a vital digital skill and a crucial part of Problem Solving with Technology. Below are tips for finding directions to learn how to do anything!
Find the help provided by the company: Most digital tools have a Help section that will teach you how to use it and answer questions. Explore the website menus to find where the help is located. If you can't find them, search the web for the word "help" or "tutorials" and also the website using the search modifier site:nameofsite. For example if you want to find the Canva help center, go to Google.com and search for the words site:canva.com help
NOTE: The order of the words doesn't matter, but it is important that you do not leave any space between site: and the website.
Find help provided by other users: Search using the name of the tool and the word "help" or "tutorials."
It may be useful to filter search results to the past year by selecting Tools>Anytime and changing it to Past year. The interfaces of digital tools get updated often and if you are using an old tutorial it may look very different. Filter to get more recent results.
