Planning Dinner 2040
The Charrette
A charrette is a design thinking term that refers to a collaborative meeting in which all stakeholders in a project attempt to resolve conflicts and map solutions to an identified problem. Dinner 2040 brought local farmers, researchers, artists, chefs, and other local food advocates together to discuss current challenges and plot ideas for the future of food in Maricopa County.

Participant Agenda
One participant agenda was provided per table with details on the courses served, mini talk titles, and a basic outline of what to expect. These were placed in a plastic protector. The other side of the sleeve contained an outline of the five values, so participants could return to them for reference.
Dinner 2040 Values
An outline of the five values that participants and facilitators could reference throughout the course of the workshop.
Facilitator Agenda
Facilitator agendas were shared in advance with each table facilitator. The agenda included session questions, rules for facilitation, and a step-by-step outline of what to expect throughout the process.
