Module 1.4 looks quantitative and qualitative data examples and approaches that highlight the importance of being culturally responsive. Our goal in Module 1.4 is to explore what and how you can learn about your students to be more culturally responsive in your teaching practices throughout their learning experience.
We will engage in self-reflection, conversation, practice activities, and end with a “pledge” to try an activity with students in an upcoming course.
Understand the importance of collecting student data to better include students in the learning process
Know what data to collect based on what you are trying to learn about your students
Practice how to collect, interpret, learn from, and use data
