Welcome to the Writers' Studio!
My name is Coleman Ertzinger. I am 26 years old and live in the Southeast Corner of Iowa, also known as “MIMAL’s chin.” I am Majoring in Biochemistry with a concentration in Medicinal Chemistry and a minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology. I have been a nationally registered paramedic for six years and have worked as a Paramedic/Firefighter in both private and public sectors. When I’m not working or attending classes for my job, I enjoy working on projects at my house, taking mini-vacations to nearby areas, kayaking, and trying new things. My hobbies change quite frequently so it’s always fun doing new things and learning how to do them! I have a family of five including myself, two brothers (one younger and one older), my mom, and my dad and we all still live in the same area as both of my brothers are finishing their collegiate careers, much like myself. I've had several accomplishments throughout my life which include being an Eagle Scout, the Drum Captain for my high school marching band, the President of my high school’s Music Booster’s organization, an Acting Captain for my current job in EMS, and most recently, obtaining my AAS in Paramedicine. My goals for academics are to complete my bachelor’s program in less than four years in order to continue my education in PA (Physician Assistant) school and after completing PA school, go on to fulfill a career as a Physician Assistant as it is something I have always wanted to do!
My biggest strength is my ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively.
To obtain my license as a Physician Assistant and begin practicing.
