The Arizona - New Mexico Symposium brings together approximately 30 graduate students, postdocs, and early-career faculty working in commutative algebra and related areas. During the first half of the symposium, three group leaders, Christopher Manon (Kentucky), Jason McCullough (Iowa State), and Botong Wang (Wisconsin), will present a lecture series on their respective areas of expertise. In these talks, they will survey recent developments, present open problems, and suggest research directions. In the second half, participants will select one of the three groups and, under the guidance of the corresponding leader and co-leader, collaborate in smaller teams to tackle the proposed problems. The symposium will also include poster sessions, social events, and an excursion to the stunning White Sands National Park.
