Welcome to my Portfolio
I serve as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force, a career recognized as one of the most demanding and prestigious in the world. Outside of my military duties, I am an avid reader and dedicated student of literature, often immersed in books or engaged with lectures on literary analysis. A lifelong admirer of Jane Austen, I chose Arizona State University for its exceptional online English programs, which allow me to balance my academic and professional commitments.
I am married to a fellow Air Traffic Controller, and together we share our home in Mississippi with two energetic and lovable dogs. Our shared office reflects our passions: one side lined with bookshelves, the other equipped for gaming. On our days off, we divide our time between the worlds of literature and interactive play, creating a balance that keeps both our minds and spirits engaged.

After just two and a half years in the Air Force, and earning Senior Airman Below the Zone, I was selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant. Achieving this rank has been a long-standing goal, one I had not anticipated reaching so quickly. I welcome the challenges and responsibilities it brings, knowing they will continue to shape my growth as a person, a student, and a leader.
I value community and connection, and the military has given me countless opportunities to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, learning styles, and family experiences. Guiding, training, and leading these Airmen has been instrumental to my growth and success as a supervisor, strengthening both my leadership skills and my ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
My long-term goal has always been to work in education, with a particular interest in teaching at the college level and ultimately becoming a professor. I aspire to inspire students, broaden their perspectives, and guide them toward a deeper engagement with literature, equipping them with the skills and curiosity to carry into the world beyond the classroom.
