ASU & BYU : Joining forces to to help our community!
Drop off your food box starting November 4th at the ASU institute or at the BYU vs ASU Tailgate events on November 23rd at the following locations:
the ASU Block Party at the MLFTC tent at zone H, 400 E Tyler Mall, Tempe AZ, or
the BYU Tailgate event at the Tempe Institute of Religion, 1100 S. McAllister Avenue, Tempe AZ
Operation Feed & Read
Operation Feed & Read will gather food donations to benefit Arizona families in need and will also collect books and raise funds for reading and literacy programs supported by ASU America Reads programs.
Join us in supporting Operation Feed, a COUGS CARE tailgate service project in partnership with the Tempe Institute of Religion and ASU students in the Latter-Day Saints Student Association (LDSSA) and the BYU Alumni Association, .
Operation Feed:
Through Operation Feed, our goal is to collect over 1,000 food items to support Arizona families. The Tempe Institute of Religion and ASU students in the Latter-Day Saints Student Association (LDSSA) are partnering with the BYU Alumni Association to raise food for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community's Food Distribution Center and a new food pantry opening in Tempe on November 23rd through City Hope Tempe.
Our beneficiaries are organizations that help distribute the food to their community:
Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community- Food Distribution Center- Here is a list of the top items from a survey of our community-Canned Meat, Canned vegetables, Canned fruit, Rice, Beans, Flour and dry good items that can help feed families.
City Hope Tempe - All donations of food will go to our grocery store style food bank. These items will be distributed to the unhoused, under-resourced and food insecure within our city. As far as items we would need: Canned vegetables-Canned fruit-Single serve meal items, Ramen, Ravioli, packaged tuna, instant potato flakes, etc... - High protein food items- Canned soups, peanut butter, jelly - Dry(uncooked) staple items - Rice, beans, lentils, pastas **For a point of context, we don't stock anything glass**

A winner will be randomly chosen on Monday, November 25th at 9AM and will be contacted via the information provided in their entry form. Be sure to bring your donation to the tailgate prior to the ASU vs. BYU football game and enter with the QR code reader.
