Who is Ashley? 

My name is Ashley Oliveira and I’m 19 years old.  I am Brazilian but I currently live in Massachusetts. I was born in Melrose, MA. When I turned 8, I moved to Brazil and lived there for 11 years and I moved back to Massachusetts in 2023 (I know, a lot of moving). As someone with two nationalities, sometimes you feel like you don't belong in either country. But I love both countries and their differences. 

Last year I started working for Starbucks and I took advantage of the SCAP program. This program is designed for eligible partners covering 100% of the tuition for a first-time bachelor’s degree. With that, I am currently majoring in Psychology. When I get my degree I want to be able to help my local community. 

I have created a passion that turned into my hobby, which is, taking pictures. I love taking pictures of everything around me and my day to day life. Pictures capture the beauty in details and the moment you’re living. My family and friends are the most important things to me and we enjoy doing activities outside. 

A fun fact about me is that last year, I went on a mission trip to the Amazon forest, Brazil. It was a life changing experience and I’d do it all over again. Unique moments there were what opened my eyes to study in depth about the mind and behavior.
