Hi There!

I am Amber Keeton. I live in Spring Valley, CA which is a suburb of San Diego. I am 50 years old and am a wife to a retired Navy Veteran, and mom to 3 adult children and lots of animals!

I did not grow up thinking that college was even a possibility for me. I had a tumultuous childhood and did not do well in school. My family moved a lot! Attending multiple schools in different states made learning difficult. I found myself consistently falling behind and ultimately dropped out of high school in Senior Research Scientist. I know. It's crazy!!

I am studying Forensic Science and have decided it's time to prove to myself that I've got what it takes to be a great student! When I graduate, I will be the first college graduate in my family. I hope I make my children and grandchildren proud and show them that it's never too late to start working on your goals. I want them to know that going to college is most definitely a possibility for them!

When I am not studying you might find me out dancing to live music, kayaking, cleaning my chicken coop, or volunteering in the Art Department for Gator by the Bay, an annual music festival here in San Diego.
