BSESS is an interdisciplinary field designed to provide graduates with a broad and coherent understanding of applied science in terms of fitness and sports coaching and the management of fitness and sports programs in various industry settings. The fitness and sports coaching major is a standalone degree, but it enhances and complements the coaching licensure and/or certification accredited by relevant international and national governing sports bodies, as well as fitness-related certifications by reputable organizations in the field. This knowledge and skills-based approach allows graduates to address the relevant needs of employers and pursue further specialization studies.

1. Have a basic and higher level of understanding of physical education, sports history, fitness and wellness.
2. Possess special skills of bringing individuals and communities together highlighting commonalities and bridging culture and ethical devides

4. Exhibit marketing and economic skills in sports, fitness and wellness activities
5. Demonstrate management capabilities a d techniques in dealing with sports tourism activities and marketing promotions.
6. Have a meaningful and comprehensive knowledge on the practice of theories and principles in dealing with emergencies and natural disaster preparedness in workplace, school settings, recreational and sport facilties.
7. Can apply principles of food an nutrition in practicumsetting for athletic programs, wellness and fitness centers and nutritional supplementation
8. Exhibit moral and ethical standards in social and physical activities and promote active, healthy lifestyle, values of fitness and experience lifelong activity
9. Can organize and supervise programs, and activities for physical education fitness, sports, tourism and cultural programs.
10. Develop proficiency in verbal communication skills via reports, presentations, and work outputs in various physical, sports activities and as research products
