Hello ATSA Families!
We are the ROARS After School Program here at Aspire Alexander Twilight Secondary Academy. The program is open to students from 6th to 9th grade with the goal of providing a variety of opportunities and supports for students during after school hours.
Our Mission:
At ROARs we strive to support students’ success by addressing all the needs of the individual: academic, social-emotional, and developmental. Through after school program we aim to provide opportunities of growth by offering high quality enrichments, academic support, and a safe environment for students to thrive.

Academics:
At program we work to support academic achievement for students by providing homework assistance, tutoring and scheduled time to focus on core subjects.
Enrichment:
By providing a variety of extracurricular and recreational enrichment activities we hope to spark interest for students in new passions, hobbies, and potential career pathways.

Clay making
Recreational Sports
ROARs After School Interest Forms: In preparation for the new school year, interest-forms are now available for families to complete to be considered for a spot next year. Interest forms are available through the main office and must be submitted to the Program Director, Ms. Garcia, by May 12th. The interest form places your student on the waitlist. Priority enrollment will be given to students participating in ALL Programming offerings; those include regular day program and intersession/school break programs. All families will be contacted with enrollment status for the 23-24 school year by the week of May 24th.
ROARS Summer Program: This year the after school program will be hosting two summer program sessions.
Summer Program A: May 31st - June 15th; available to all current 6th - 9th grade ATSA Students. Priority enrollment will go towards current ROARS students.
Summer Program B: July 10th - July 21st; available to all incoming 6th - 9th grade ATSA Students. Please indicate. More information to come for July programming.
Note: Families who check "all programming" on our expanded learning waitlist interest form for the new school year will be considered for the Summer Program B.

Join us in spring as students participate in various sports while learning about the fundamentals of each game. Taking place every Wednesday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM
This month! Our partnership with Study Smart will provide students with enrichment opportunities exploring topics from music production to Lego engineering.
Meet Our After School Team!
Ms. Nikki is a Hornet at California State University, Sacramento majoring in Sociology and minoring in Mathematics! She loves to hike, write, and crochet in her free time. Her favorite artists are Frank Ocean, Alabama Shakes and of course Drake.
Mr. Louie attends California State University of Sacramento, studying for a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Golden State Warriors fan, loves to travel, and has two dogs he cares for.
Mr. Izarraras attends American River College as a computer engineer major with a minor in Chicano Studies. He loves to mentor youth through school programs with Washington school district. Mr. Izarraras is passionate about learning more about his Latino heritage. In his free time he likes spending time playing video games, reading and playing sports. Go niners!
Mrs. Flores graduated from San Francisco State with a Bachelors of Art in Broadcast Electronic Communications. She also holds an Associate Degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Ohlone College in Fremont , Ca. She is a mother of two Aspire Scholars who inspire her to keep moving forward in a positive light. Mrs. Flores enjoys outdoor activities with her family and her dog Carmel and encouraging her students to see everyday as a new possibility for greatness!
Ms. Garcia graduated from California State University Fresno with a double Bachelors in Cultural Anthropology and Chicano Studies. She loves to paint, read and take hikes in the mountains.
