This website will hold information from the Counseling Department, including upcoming important dates! So please, save this website to your favorites. A couple of beginning of the year reminders:
We are no longer accepting schedule change request forms, all schedules should be complete.
Please reach out directly to your child's Academic Counselor to schedule a meeting with them if you would like to discuss their academic progress!

Teen Leadership Collaborative (TLC) Program Outline
Program Components:
Introductory Session: At the start of each term, outline goals, expectations, and the schedule. All participants will be provided with a term calendar.
Youth-Led Meetings: Participants lead and facilitate the meetings, making critical decisions for the program.
Leadership Training: Workshops and sessions focused on developing leadership, teamwork, and event planning skills.
Event Preparation: Role assignments and planning for the YMCA events.
TLC Booth: Participants plan and manage a booth at each YMCA event, engaging in community outreach.
Community Service: Additional volunteer opportunities and outreach events organized by participants.
Social Media Engagement and Design – Participants will take an active role in creating and showcasing content on official YMCA social media platforms.
Summer Fundraising: TLC participants can use YMCA activities for fundraising during the summer to support their programs and purchase shirts, get-togethers, etc.
End-of-Term Celebration: Recognizing efforts and achievements and gathering feedback for future terms.

Fosters a sense of accomplishment and community impact.
Letters of Recommendation and references for students who participate in 2 or more terms available upon request.
See Something. Say Something
Our mental health team wants to remind you that BHA has a "See Something, Say Something" program, where students, staff, parents, and community members can use the link below to share safety concerns confidentially with administrators and mental health teammates at Ben Holt College Preparatory Academy. Submissions are regularly reviewed and responded to by administrators and mental health therapists. There is a place to upload files if you need to share screen shots or documents with our team. This link is not intended for emergencies, so if you need to report an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
