+ Do I have to start induction during my first year?
Aspire's Teacher Induction Program is designed to provide a two-year, individualized, job-embedded system of mentoring, support and professional learning that begins in the teacher’s first year of teaching, as required by the CTC. Aspire believes that our individualized and contextualized program is a logical and beneficial component of any first year support/mentoring/coaching model that might be offered to a teacher. We have worked hard to insure that induction doesn’t feel like another “hoop to jump through,” but instead offers opportunities for true growth and development with our newest teachers. An eligible teacher may opt to not enroll in Aspire's Teacher Induction Program. Contact your mentor, the director of new teacher development, or the Credential Services Department for more information.
