Welcome to Week 5! This week you will consider ways to address the problem you identified during Week 3. Then you will finish the final components of your project proposal: the Intended Outcomes and present your final proposal with your peers
This peer discussion activity will enhance your communication skills and boost your confidence. It’s a chance to gain valuable feedback, learn from diverse perspectives, and deepen your understanding of global community challenges, helping you grow as a global citizen.
Step A: Take turns talking about your proposal (Problem statement and Project plan).
Step B: Take notes on each peer’s presentation to provide thoughtful feedback.
Step C: After each presentation, spend 1-2 minutes asking questions, offering suggestions, or showing appreciation.
Join an interest-area based Meeting Room on Discord to connect with fellow participants for discussion. You can meet anyone, not just those in your Group, or set up discussions with friends.
This is an optional, but highly encouraged activity. You do not need to make a presentation for this activity.
This section will help you refine their goals, anticipate challenges, and build practical strategies for success of your project.
Developing intended outcomes is a crucial step in a project proposal because it clearly defines the project's goals and what success looks like. It provides direction, helping to align efforts, resources, and strategies. It also enables effective tracking and evaluation, allowing you to measure progress, identify challenges, and make adjustments. By outlining the desired outcomes, you demonstrate the project's potential impact and its long-term value, which is essential for securing support from stakeholders and funders.
What do you want to achieve with your project?
How will you track your project’s progress?
What are some things you think you might have to create? E.g., workshops, events, products etc. (Please note- we are not asking you to actually implement your project-just think about it)
Who do you think could support your project after it's launched (e.g., stakeholders, another organization, donors etc)?
Identify 1 challenge you think you might face and how will you overcome it?
Reflection prompts are for your personal record and not graded.
Use the form below to organize your thoughts for the reflection prompts and request a copy of your answers for future reference.
This will help you in your End of Module Assessment when you submit the final draft for grading
The End of Module Assessment has multiple parts. It is due by July 29th at 11:59 pm EST. You MUST complete the assessment by the deadline, and you are encouraged to complete the assessment far in advance of the deadline.
