Kelly McManus, BCBA, LBA – Clinical Director
Kelly was born and raised in Rhode Island until relocating to the Northeast Kingdom in 2019 to work for the St. Johnsbury school district. She received her Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Salve Regina University and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Kelly has been working with children with autism and developmental disabilities as well as children with behavioral challenges and trauma histories for more than 30 years. She has provided behavioral and consultative services across various diverse environments to include home, clinical and school settings. Her professional passions include working with early learners, functional communication training, instructional design and parent training. In her free time, you can find Kelly on her small hobby farm with her husband or outdoors exploring all the Northeast Kingdom has to offer.
Julie Thompson, Assistant Director

Meet Julie Thompson has over a decade of expertise working with children. Julie graduated with honors from Northern Vermont University Lyndon, holding a degree in Criminal Justice and minors in Psychology and Human Services.
Throughout her career, Julie has honed her teaching skills, empowering children to become self-advocates and equipping them with essential emotional management techniques. Julie is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
She's passionate about her work in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and enjoys helping children develop crucial life skills. In her spare time, Julie finds solace in drawing, swimming, and music.

Maggie, originally from Western Massachusetts, now calls New Hampshire home. She started her career helping adults with mental health and substance abuse issues. After a few years, she shifted her focus to working with boys dealing with behavioral and trauma challenges in an alternative school for three years. Her career path then led her to become a Behavior Specialist in public schools, specializing in teaching emotional regulation and treatment plan implementation for young children.
Maggie holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice, an M.S. in Forensic Science, and is a certified PK- 3 teacher. She's driven by her passion for helping both adults and children succeed and reach their goals.
Maggie combines her passion for reading with the joy of being with her animal friends.
Naomi Plocic - Program Coordinator

Naomi was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, and grew up in Danville, VT. She has a large family and a lifelong love for children. Her professional experience with children spans work at local daycare centers and roles in school systems. She spent seven years with the Kingdom East district and two years at the St. Johnsbury School, working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Naomi is passionate about mental health and early intervention advocacy for children, bringing a compassionate and unique perspective to her work.
In her free time, Naomi enjoys baking, dancing, and spending quality time with her family. She lives in St. Johnsbury, VT, with her husband, two children, and their cat, Shadow.
Daisy Hersom
Behavior Technician
Daisy was born and raised in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, where she attended St. Johnsbury Academy and focused on her studies in Human Services. Throughout high school, Daisy gained hands-on experience working in two different childcare centers, developing strong skills in early childhood care and education. Daisy has a passion for working with children and take pride in helping them learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive environment.
Meghan Hubbard
Behavior Technician
Born and raised in the Sheffield/Lyndon area of Vermont and a Lyndon Institute graduate of the class of 2024. Megan has been a part of the St. Johnsbury community working with Northeast Kingdom Community Action on distributing food and other high need resources before switching roles and joining the Aspire team. Megan worked briefly on early childhood intervention while at Lyndon Institute and has been working to become a registered behavior technician. When Megan is not at work and has free time she typically spends her time hanging out with loved ones and friends. Meghan enjoys spending time outdoors, kayaking or fishing. She also enjoys lazy days with her two golden retrievers Cooper and Jax.
Heather Favreau

Heather Favreau was born and raised in St Johnsbury, Vermont. She graduated from Lyndon College with an associates degree in general studies. Heather's passion for children led her to operate a registered daycare in her home, followed by 9 years working at the St Johnsbury school as a paraeducator, bus monitor, and after-school program instructor.
Heather is currently working as a behavior technician and continues to expand her career path by working with children. Heather has two adult children and her cat, Willow. She loves nature, hiking, camping, sunsets, and starry nighttime skies. One of Heather's favorite pastimes is relaxing with a good movie or book with her cat.
Sarah Newland

Sarah Newland joined as a Behavioral Technician with a passion for helping individuals grow and thrive. Sarah has a compassionate approach to her work, always looking for creative and engaging ways to support meaningful progress. Sarah believes that building genuine connections is important and she strives to bring patience, consistency, and positivity into every session.
Outside of work, Sarah loves spending time with her two children, going to the gym, enjoying live music, and being outdoors—especially in the summer.
Zachary Poole

Zach was born in Portland, Maine and Zach grew up in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. Zach went to the Saint Johnsbury Academy and graduated from Saint Johnsbury in 2025. Zach had spent 5 years professionally working with children at the Saint Johnsbury School. Zach worked in Kindergarten and 1st grade. These experiences would include internships at the academy and working after school program at the Saint Johnsbury School. These experiences would result in me learning how to grow and work in an classroom environment Zach has a passion for helping others and brings positive energy. He loves the development and growth he sees while working in childcare and in a classroom environment. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with family and friends. He also loves to watch sports and play video games.
Katelynn Watkins
Behavior Technician
This is Katelyn, born and raised in Vermont. A graduate from St. Johnsbury Academy class of 2006. She's been working with children of all aspects of special needs for more than 2 decades. Katelyn's professional experience spans from working at local daycare centers to having her own in home childcare and working in the St. Johnsbury School, working with children from ages 5 weeks to 13 years old. Katelyn is currently working as a Behavior Technician and continuing her education towards her becoming an RBT. I'm her downtime, Katelyn spends all her time with her 3 kids whom are all very active in sports. Katelyn enjoys summer time, being on the water or by the water, camping and spending time with family.
Terilee Smith

Teri was born in South Hampton, NY, and grew up living in various places along the East Coast, now in Orleans, VT. She has a large family and a lifelong love for children and animals. Her professional experience with children spans from working at daycare centers to public school systems. She spent the last two years working with children with special needs, ranging in age from kindergarten to adulthood. Teri is passionate about teaching self-advocacy and life skills. She is patient and takes the time to fully understand everyone's needs and how she can best assist them. In her free time, Teri enjoys riding her horse Mr. P, cooking, and spending quality time with her 3 kids and their cats, Jack and Sally.
Behavior Technician
Amora was born and raised in the St. Johnsbury/Lyndonville area. She is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and also participated in the VTSU Upward Bound program. Through both St. Johnsbury Academy and Upward Bound, Amora gained valuable experience and exposure to the field of education.
Amora is currently pursuing coursework toward an Early Childhood Education degree and is working on becoming a Registered Behavior Technician. She is deeply passionate about supporting children and meeting their individual needs, and she brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to her work.
Outside of work, Amora enjoys going to the gym and spending quality time with friends.
Kadance Barber

Kadence was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and spent most of her life in Danville, Vermont. She graduated from Danville School in 2024. As part of her senior project, she volunteered at a local food shelf, where she assisted individuals and families in need. She also organized a food drive that successfully collected enough donations to support many families in the community. Growing up with eight siblings inspired Kadence to pursue a career in childcare. She began her professional experience at a childcare center, where she worked for two years with toddlers ranging in age from one to three years. In her free time, Kadence enjoys spending time with her dogs, going on hikes, and being with her family.
