SAfer Internet Day 2022
We're all super-busy this year and doing our best to keep on top of our work in school and online!
We're encouraging everyone to hit pause on their devices in their free time! Give yourselves a break from the screens and have a think about the other things you could be doing to mind yourselves and your families!
You may find some inspiration in the activities and resources below!
A huge thanks to our Youth Advisory Panelist MĂ©abh and our SID2022 Ambassadors Ava and Elvan for their stellar work this year!
ASM students! Get involved in the #SID2022 Poster Competition!
Nana can't host her quiz this year, but that doesn't mean that you can't think about your behaviour online!
A few incorrect answers aren't the end of the world (ignore the look of shame on Nana's face) as you can always review settings and passwords online! You should do this regularly!
Presentation for First Years: Body Image & Body Positivity Online
Ava and Elvan, Ardscoil Mhuire's #SID2022 Ambassadors, created this presentation for First Year students to highlight how all is not as it seems online!
They drew on excellent research from fellow TY students, Lauren B., Lauren G., and Chelsea, in order to tailor their information to our First Years.
Learn about Fake News! You can even quiz yourself at the end!
ASM's #SID2021 Committee created resources for use in SPHE classes!
Safer Internet Day Presentation for Parents/Guardians
Parents/guardians are also supported by a section on the Webwise website!
The Irish Internet Safety Centre is also hosting a free #BeKindOnline webinar series for parents/guardians for #SID2021!
Check out the amazing resources from Webwise!
The Safety Net Podcast Series
The Safety Net Podcast saw ASM's students interviewing experts in the field of online safety. It won a Best Use of Technology prize in the 2019 Safer Internet Day Awards! Now might be the perfect time to see what all the fuss was about!
