When a young astronomer (played by Jennifer Lawrence) discovers a colossal meteor headed towards earth, she teams up with her professor (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) to do the right thing – it is a complex task, steadily challenged by the film.

We are living in a world of waste, where consumerism encourages people to rapidly make new purchases. This has led to a throwaway culture within society – where we only use products once before disposal – leading to many harmful effects on the environment.

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens is one of my favorite books that I’ve ever read.
