Academic Journal

Thammasat Journal of Japanese Studies of the Institute of East Asian Studies, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Thammasat University, is a semi-annual academic journal (two issues per year: Volume 1 from January to June, Volume 2 from July to December). It was first published in the year 1984 with the objective of promoting and supporting researchers, scholars, and the general public to present their academic works. The journal aims to disseminate and exchange knowledge in the field of Japanese studies, leading to the creation of new knowledge beneficial for societal and national development. We welcome submissions of articles that promote knowledge in various aspects of Japanese studies, particularly in social sciences and humanities, such as history, economics, political science, business administration, sociology, anthropology, language, philosophy, literature, arts, culture, and international relations.

The Thai Journal of East Asian Studies (TJEAS) is an internationally refereed, bilingual (English and Thai) journal devoted to publishing humanities and social sciences research on issues related to East and Southeast Asia. It aims to be a venue for authors seeking to share their evidences and interpretations on emerging and compelling topics in the scholarship on the region. It also endeavors to be a synergy between discipline-based scholars and area specialists, who come from different academic backgrounds, contributing their knowledge collectively both for educational purposes and for society as a whole. The TJEAS is indexed in the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI-2).
