Google Hangouts

You can use Hangouts to talk with more than one person at the same time.

Everyone who wants to join a group conversation must use Hangouts.

From Your Computer: (You will need a webcam on your computer. )

Go to hangouts.google.com or open Hangouts in Gmail.
Click New conversation New group.
Enter or select the names, phone numbers, or email addresses of people you want to add.
Click the group in your list. To start a group conversation or video call, click Message or Video call icon.

In your calendar, create an new event. Invite your guests. (You can do this ahead of time!)
When it is time for the meeting, go into the event, and click “Join meeting,” by the green video icon.
Everyone in the group needs to do this!

1. Set up your account if you need to!
In the right menu (under your face), click Creator Studio
In the left menu, click Creator Studio
In the left menu, click Live Streaming
Under Live Streaming, click Events
+ New live event
Add title, date, time
Select Public, Unlisted, or Private. (probably public or unlisted!)
Check and make sure it is on Quick (using Google Hangouts on Air)
Click Create Event in the bottom right corner.
When it is time for the event, go back into YouTube → Creator Studio (under your face) → Live Streaming → Events. You should see your previously created event listed. Click “Start Hangout On Air.”
A new Google Hangouts window will pop up. It may take a minute for the settings to load. Also, you may need to allow video/mic permissions.
Invite guest with the icon at the top. It may be a good idea to have them open their email ahead of time.
When you’re ready, click the green Start Broadcast button.
When you are finished recording, Click Stop or close the window.
You can find the new video back in YouTube, under the Video Manager tab.
