Kristin Earhart, the author of the Race the Wild series, is an American writer of many books for young readers, with a professional background in children's book publishing. 

Background

Early Life & Interests: Earhart grew up with a love for animals, spending her time riding horses, reading animal-themed books, and pestering her cat. This passion clearly informs the animal and nature focus of many of her series.

Professional Career

Before becoming a full-time author, she worked as a Senior Editor for the Scholastic Book Group for ten years (1997-2007). This experience in the industry provided a strong foundation for her writing career.

Current Residence: She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and son.
