Our Why

We are two of the Across School Leaders for the Whānau ki te ako - Albany Pathway. We have often wondered how other Across School Leaders work building their communities of learning. Although we may all be at different stages of our journeys and have different contexts, no doubt we face similar challenges along the way.

As dedicated leaders in driving the vision of our Kāhui ako's it can be difficult to find time to meet with other Kāhui Ako leaders. We pondered, could a conference work as part of a solution?

We see this as an exciting opportunity to not only connect and network, but also to learn from each other and with each other. There may also be a desire from attendees for some kind of ongoing Across School Leaders Organisation for the region.

With the support of the team at Albany Senior High School our conference idea has become a reality!
