The Astronomy Society

The Astronomy Society of Ashoka University is a student-led organization at Ashoka University. From scientists to photographers, we provide a platform for individuals passionate about astronomy to connect and share their experiences. One of our core objectives is to promote interdisciplinarity and collaboration in astronomy.

We organize various activities and events throughout the year, including stargazing sessions, workshops, guest lectures, movie screenings, and reading circles. By providing members with opportunities to gain hands-on experience with telescopes and other astronomical instruments and interact with professionals in the field, we aim to encourage students to consider careers in research, teaching, or other areas of the industry. 

By bringing together a diverse community of astronomy enthusiasts and providing them with opportunities for learning and engagement, we aim to inspire the next generation of enthusiasts, who will continue to push the boundaries of our understanding of the cosmos.
