Make sure to be checking our calendar and Google Classroom in order to stay on top of events happening in the club!
Attendance portrays your dedication to our club. Therefore, we will be tracking attendance very strictly in AHSDA. You must be present at every AHSDA meeting, with the capability of having two unexcused absences every term (Note that your absences will restock every term). Upon your second unexcused absence, you will receive a warning email from a board member, and upon your third unexcused absence, you will be removed from the club. Moreover, if you are speaking in a debate and absent from the meeting the day we hold the debate, you will receive two absence strikes! However, you may be excused from a meeting if you give a board member or Mrs. Markham at least a 24-hour notice before any meeting. Additionally, if sports conflict with you attending club meets, email a board member or Mrs. Markham with the time frame of your sport's season and we will excuse you for all the missed meets. Do not forget that club officers must also follow this policy, ensuring that no one is above the law! Following this policy will ensure your success in AHSDA!
Here is the attendance sheet for all terms. Actively check your attendance here, and notify Rachel Xu, our secretary, at xurac@ashland.k12.ma.us or Mrs. Markham, our club advisor, at rmarkham@ashland.k12.ma.us if you think there is a mistake!
Here is our community service sheet for 2022-2023. All your hard work will be reported on this sheet as you attend meetings and/or complete tasks. You must be present for the whole time to receive the total time for that meeting/assignment. If you think there is a mistake with your displayed completed community service hours, please email Srinivasa Narakuchi, our treasurer, at narakuchisri@ashland.k12.ma.us or Mrs. Markham, our club advisor, at rmarkham@ashland.k12.ma.us.
For any club to function properly, there must be a set of regulations to stop the spread of inconsistency, disrespect, and hatred. Therefore, here are the rules and regulations for the High School Democrats of America chapter at Ashland High School. Following these policies will ensure your success in AHSDA.
