Problem: North Carolina is fourth in the nation for growing the most pumpkins. Ashe County produces over 1,850 acers of pumpkins a year. Ashe County farmers love growing pumpkins, but they need help from the students of Mountain View to develop a new pumpkin picker to help harvest pumpkins faster. Design a pumpkin picker to where you use the least number of moves possible to harvest pumpkins. Projects are due Wednesday, October 27th.
Before you begin, do some research on pumpkins and how farmers use arrays to plant crops. Farmers plant crops in rows to give them space to grow.
