Meet the Teacher

Welcome to our Classroom Website! I can not express how happy I am to be apart of the school, community, and atmosphere of Ashby, for a fourth year! I am from Hamel, Minnesota which is located 30 minutes NW of Minneapolis. I grew up on my grandfather's farmland in Hamel and moved to Bemidji, MN where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and an Endorsement in Pre-Primary Education. Prior to accepting my position in Ashby, I was able to student teach in Brooklyn Park in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom and a First-Grade Classroom. Before teaching in Ashby, I was already familiar with surrounding towns as my family has property near Rush Lake, and my grandma lived on Dead Lake in Richville, for quite some time. Some of my hobbies include hunting, fishing, DIY's, and traveling! One of my most memorable trips was deep sea fishing and fly fishing in Alaska. Above is a picture from my trip.
