Ms. Maria Ana Maldonado (Class of 2031)

Hi! I am Maria Ana Maldonado, ASFM's Counselor for Grade 8 and this is my 6th year at ASFM. I have a passion for working with adolescents and accompanying them during this challenging transition period.

My mission is to create meaningful connections and welcome students to a safe space fostering empathy & kindness; where students can thrive, be authentic and confident to face what lies ahead.

Some of my hobbies are traveling, playing guitar, spending time with family and friends and playing Mahjong.

Ms. Marcela Morales (Class of 2032)

Hello! I am Marcela Morales, ASFM’s MS Counselor for Grade 7. This is my second year at ASFM, but I have been a school counselor for eight years.

I am a strong advocate for mental health, and I believe wellbeing is built through our daily practices. I enjoy accompanying adolescents on their Middle School journey as they discover more about who they are, overcome challenges, and develop a growth mindset.

In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, reading, playing guitar and spending time with my lovely dogs and husband.

I am proud to be part of the ASFM community and I am looking forward to a wonderful year supporting the Grade 7s!

Ms. Tania Tiquet Class of 2033

Hi! I'm Tania Tiquet, ASFM's MS Counselor for grade 6. This is my thirteenth year at ASFM and my ninth year as a counselor. I'm a proud ASFM alumna and a proud regia! Monterrey has always been my hometown and it's amazing mountains have a special place in my heart. I love spending my free time with my family, with my husband and two boys. We usually like to relax at home watching movies, reading books or taking Leo, our dog, out for a walk. I'm lucky to have found my true calling as an educator and find it a pure joy in what I do every single day which is creating a genuine connection with my students.
