Articles in ASFM's quarterly magazine, (SOAR), are a excellent opportunities to help guide students to activities that develop their skill-set as Global Leaders. Promoting activities as challenging and fun experiences, ones where students can find success with like-minded friends, has generated tremendous benefits for my students as they flocked to some of my favorite work efforts!
In 2016, I worked as part of a team that organized and secured funding for the implementation of the Robotics program at ASFM. In SOAR Issue .06, Spring 2017 p.10 - I highlight the exciting opportunities for our students that STEM from this accomplishment as I announce the commencement of the FIRST, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, program at ASFM.
In the Fall 2017 Issue of SOAR, # .07, I announce the start of the Mock Trial program at ASFM. As the Faculty Coordinator for this program, I work with our attorney volunteers to help ASFM students develop leadership and communication skills as they try their hand at trial advocacy.
