About me

I hold a BA in History & Social Sciences from The University of Michigan

I hold a M.Ed in Bicultural Studies, English as A Second Language from Wayne State University

Originally from suburban Detroit, Michigan, I have taught in Michigan, China, California, Mexico and Hawai'i. During my 27 year career, I've held both teaching and administrative roles in a variety of dynamic high schools, middle schools, independent, IB, international, and public schools. I have a special passion for service and social-emotional learning.

I'm happily married and outside of school, I enjoy hiking, service, travel, and great food!
