ABOUT ME

I am from a beautiful village called Hondarribia (Spain), just in the border with France. I studied elementary, middle school and high school in Saint Jean de Luz (France); and then I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at Universidad de León (Spain), with a one year exchange at Univesity of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia). I also got a Master´s Degree in Molecular Biomedicine at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and I graduated from a PhD in Biomedical Sciences in Guadalajara (México). I did part of my PhD research at the International Agency for Research on Cancer from the Word Health Organization (Lyon, France). I am currently studying a degree in Social Education in Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). I worked in a research laboratory before deciding to focus on what I really love doing: teaching.

When not in the classroom, I love learning languages and I have taught french for 10 years. I also love doing sports, specially if I practice them in the nature: skiing, running, hiking. I also enjoy reading a book or watching a movie at home with my two dogs lying on my feet. But my biggest passion is traveling, I love discovering new places and people.

This is my fifth year at the American School Foundation of Guadalajara. I am very excited to begin this school year, to get to know the 9th grade students, and to teach them the beautiful world of science.
