Giancarlo Brotto is a globally recognized education advisor, keynote speaker, and the founder of Pave Edu, a consultancy helping school systems worldwide navigate the transition to an AI-powered future. With over two decades of experience leading both national and school-level initiatives, Giancarlo has supported ministries of education, school boards, and educators across five continents in designing and scaling digital learning solutions that improve equity, access, and learner outcomes.
A former Ontario educator, Giancarlo has worked closely with local school boards on inclusion-focused technology initiatives that have not only impacted classrooms across the province but have also served as models for systems across Canada and internationally. His work integrates principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), digital inclusion, and ethical AI to ensure that every learner can thrive.
Over the past 5–8 years, Giancarlo has focused exclusively on the responsible and impactful adoption of artificial intelligence in education—guiding systems, educators and support staff through strategic planning, policy development, and professional learning that centers human dignity and learner diversity and, most importantly, positive impact. He currently serves on global bodies such as the Brookings Institute’s Task Force on AI in Education and the Oxford AI in Education Hub.
With a dynamic, engaging style and a track record of inspiring audiences from 50 to 55,000, Giancarlo equips education leaders and educators with the vision and tools to create accessible, AI-informed learning environments that are future-ready and learner-centered. Giancarlo’s vision is simple and clear: to ensure every educator and learner is equipped to succeed in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
