Right now we're trying to get several projects off the ground at ASDRP. I'd like to develop a pipeline for students to execute high-throughput chemogenomics screens, as well as their capabilities to explore mechanisms using genetics and other tools. I'd like to also develop our capacity to assay the effects of protein alterations on function, currently focusing on looking at protein condensates. I'd like to expand this to develop "humanized" yeast-based assays for human protein function, and use that as a cheap/scalable screening platform in collaborations. I'd like for us to develop these from single-strain assays into pooled barcode-sequencing based assays, but that's a work-in-progress. Also I'd like to develop capabilites for training and deploying synthetic biology engineering at scale.

I'd be really interested in any donations or connections that can help us with affording more short/long-read sequencing. We could also use yeast/ecoli strain/plasmid collections, especially synthetic biology toolkits. We gladly accept reagent and equipment donations. Old liquid handling robots?
