32nd National Conference
Prosperity, Peace, and Longevity: What Can We Learn From Asia?
The conference themes of prosperity, peace, and longevity invite papers that explore the vital cultural, political, economic, environmental, and scientific relationships that connect our world. Diverse disciplinary approaches and perspectives on contemporary and historical issues will be particularly welcome, including cultural resilience, economic security, and social change. In addition to sharing multidisciplinary research, the conference will provide a forum to explore pedagogical and institutional innovation and share insights among the Asia, Asia Pacific, and global communities.
Proposals are now being accepted for the 2027 ASDP National Conference, to be held at the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP), Center for Business and Industry, 1751 Callowhill St, Philadelphia, PA, 19130. Proposals addressing some aspect of this year’s theme, Prosperity, Peace, and Longevity: What We Can Learn from Asia, are encouraged, but we welcome research, teaching, and scholarship in Asian studies broadly conceived.
Our Friday keynote is Professor Jacques deLisle, and our Saturday keynote is Professor Zia Mian.
