Although the course is intended for incoming students, previous students may also enjoy this camp for a review of Algebra I concepts, as they prepare to move on to their next math class. Description: From the very first time that Captain America punched Hitler, to a bullet proof Luke Cage in an era of police brutality, and even the modern day parallels of the Patriot Act and Project Insight - Marvel comics has long drawn up real world events to shape it's characters, stories, and message. During this week long course, students will learn about some of history's most engaging events through the dynamic lens of Marvel comics. Students will gain insight into history through an often overlooked or maligned media, and discover a version of history that is far more marvel-ous than they previously knew.

Description: Handheld filmmaking is a one week course that will walk students through the power of filmmaking they already have in their own hands, present day smartphones! During the course of this class we will discuss getting filming rights/consent, camera angles, and being a resourceful filmmaker with the resources you can find on hand. We will aim to complete two short film projects, one designed to help/promote ASD, and a second short film chosen and worked on in collaboration by the whole class.

Topics covered include the organization of life, cell structure, and the chemical basis for life. Description: Want to learn how to save a life? Do you love the song "Stayin' Alive?" Join us for two days this summer and gain your American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification! This course is instructor led and includes video, but is HANDS ON to help you gain skill proficiency using our manikins and practice AEDs. Learn the critical skills needed to respond to and manage a life threatening emergency until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. You will learn first aid basics, medical/environmental/injury emergency response, as well as how to provide CPR to adults and children and how to use an AED. We can hand pick your own CPR soundtrack song if you aren't an ABBA fan, too! At the end of the week, you will receive a certification card that is good for two years and also gain the confidence and knowledge to make a difference.

It is a great option for students expecting a full course load next year! This will be graded as a pass/fail course that will go on the student's transcripts. This course runs for two weeks. Rising seniors receive priority in this course.
