DRESS AS WARM AS POSSIBLE AND STAY WARM UNTIL YOUR EVENT. IMMEDIATELY PUT YOUR WARM CLOTHING BACK ON AFTER YOUR EVENT.

In all preliminary running events, the TOP 2 finishers in each heat auto qualify for the FINALS. There are 3 heats in each event and therefore 6 runners auto qualify. The next 4 fastest times will also qualify for FINALS.
The 800/1600 and ALL Relays have FINALS only!
ALL Field events you get your 3 jumps/throws in Prelims. The top 8 athletes in prelims will then get 3 more jumps/throws in the FINALS and your best of 6 jumps/throws will be your score.

Requirements for participating in track and field include: an activity fee, a participation form, and physical from a clinic or doctor's office. Paperwork is available from the Mears Student Services office and can be downloaded from the Mears Sports webpage at : https://www.asdk12.org/domain/4260
The activity fee for Track and Field this year is $110.00. Waiver forms are available in the Student Services office and online at the link above.
Track shirts for Mears Track & Field are available to purchase on Parent Connect for $15.00.

Track and Field practice starts at 4:15 PM and ends at 5:45 PM every school day. Come prepared to dress out and participate.
Track Meets begin at 6:00 and end by 9:00 pm. ASD provides buses to/from away meets.

After this meet the top competitors in each event are selected to move forward in the ASD Championships May 5, 6, 8
