Like student-athletes, all student-drama members are expected to be students first, which means that students must adhere to the Anchorage School District after-school activities policies regarding eligibility for participation.  See the ASD Student Activities Handbook and the audition application.  https://www.asdk12.org/arbiter  Participation in theater is a privilege, and students can be removed from theater for behavioral, attendance, or academic issues. Auditioning for a play does not necessarily mean that students will earn a part.  Students are expected to have a qualifying GPA and a passing grade in at least five classes, just as they would for athletics.
