Grade 3 students focus on building foundational mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. Key areas of learning include understanding multiplication and division within 100, exploring fractions—particularly unit fractions—investigating area through rectangular arrays, and identifying, describing, and analyzing two-dimensional shapes.
