Youth Risk Behavior Survey
The Youth Risk Behavior Survey is given to teens across the country every other year. The full results of this survey can be found here.
Spend some time exploring the current trends (as of 2021) about youth high risk behaviors.
Here are some of the worrisome highlights of this survey
24% of middle school students report feeling that their mental health is almost always "not good"
25% of middle school students have seriously considered suicide
9% of middle school students report using prescription pain meds without a doctor's order or guidance
18% of middle school students report witnessing neighborhood violence such as stabbings, beatings, or shootings
