A Family of Inspired Life-long Learners
HELPFUL LINKS
Being a member of a family takes love, gratitude, optimism and a willingness to show up. We have a lot to be proud of as a Golden Bear Family, so let's be optimistic about our futures, love equally our successes and struggles, grateful for our time together on this earth and show up when it matters. We got this, this is our home, and these are our people.
As Always--Go Bears! 🐻💙💛

Please take a few moments to envision what you feel Bartlett High School should be by taking this survey
This survey is one strategy for collecting insights and ideas from the Bartlett High School community of faculty, staff, students and alumni, and families and community - for our use in master planning the Bartlett High School campus.
CHROMEBOOKS/PERSONAL COMPUTERS
Whether the student uses a school-issued Chromebook or a personal laptop, these items are required for classes each day.
Students need to bring them charged and ready for class. Failure to do so means the student is not prepared for class and it may impact their grades. We also recommend that each student brings their OWN charger to school, in case they need extra power during the day. We recommend that they do not share their chargers with others, as this has caused many to disappear. Chargers are each student's responsibility and cost $25 to replace. A replacement charger can be paid for in the main office, and upon showing the receipt to Student Services personnel, the charger can be picked up before/after school or at lunch. Replacement chargers will not be issued during class time.
Greetings from the Curriculum Office

Last year, we did great work expanding the work-based learning opportunities for our students and documenting them as we engaged with community partners. This year, we will continue building on that initiative as we move to document a work-based learning opportunity for each of our students in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
ASD has appointed a new Healthcare Coordinator, who will be assisting teachers to certify students in Heartsaver Basic Life Support, Teen Mental Health First Aid, and communication/de-escalation techniques. Each of these certificates are essential basics to any healthcare field.
At the beginning of the Fall semester, our CTE coordinators will be out in high schools visiting CTE classes with juniors and seniors to recruit for internship opportunities for the 2023-24 school year.

CHECK OUT IMAGES OF THE EXCITING ACTIVITIES OUR STUDENTS ARE ENGAGED IN.
While most schools were welcoming all of their students back, we hosted our annual Freshman Orientation on August 17. Freshman Orientation allows us to welcome our new freshman, led by the Link Crew, and offers opportunities to get to know the school, their classmates, and teachers without the added pressure of all the students in the building. The Link Crew is a group of nominated upperclassman that show leadership skills to show our freshman what being a Golden Bear is all about. The day was filling with activities, and small group projects to help aquaint students with the school.
Over the summer, several students traveled with the World Language Chaperones Kelly Hughes, Yan Wang and Liam Hughes-Duffy, to Europe and visited several cities including Vienna, Berlin, Prague, and Munich.

On the calendar will be a Fry Bread Fundraiser, Traditional Games at Bartlett and Elders and Youth Conference.
Mrs. Matsuoka's Oceanography Class won a $4000 grant from the NOAA Ocean Guardian School Grant program. This will allow a more in depth recycling program to start at Bartlett very soon.
