A Family of Lifelong Learners
Principal’s Minute:
As the days get shorter and the weather turns colder, remember to stay involved with your family, school sports, and activities and engage with your friends—in this way you can make the day a little brighter for everyone. If you are looking for things to be involved with, talk with your teachers and listen to the daily announcements to find out what is happening in Bear Country.
Title I Goals:
Chronic Absenteeism
Math and English Proficiency
Academic Engagement
How can you help us meet our goals?
Make sure your children attend regularly and encourage them to be on time and not tardy to class.
If your students are struggling in Math or English ask them if they would like tutoring. If your student excels at Math or English ask them if they would be interested in tutoring their peers. We will be offering tutoring after school in the library so come check it out.
If there are classes you would like to see offered please let us know by emailing me at Prince_sean@asdk12.org with Academic Engagement in the subject line and we can see what we can do.

With a lot of assignments and school research being done online these days, we could all use a little money off the cost of broadband. Here is a link from the FCC for a discount. Just follow the link to see if you qualify.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.
As always... Go Bears
Chromebook Information
Students need to bring their Chromebooks or personal computer to school,
charged, ready to use every day.
Please help your student remember to charge the device every night so that it is ready to bring to school the next day. We also recommend that they bring their charger with them each day, just in case their computer needs a boost. We do not recommend sharing their chargers as we do not have extra if the charger goes missing.
Please return any BROKEN or UNUSED Chromebooks to Bartlett. This will clear them off of your student's account, and allows us to have other computers for other students.
Please email questions to Guilford_Francisc@asdk12.org or widdison_sarah@asdk12.org
As Mr. Prince mentioned we could all use a little money off the cost of broadband. Here is a link from the FCC for a discount. Just follow the link to see if you qualify.
Who cares if you are late?
We do! Although being late to class may only seem like a few minutes, that time adds up to lots of lost learning and classroom disruption.
Please be aware of Bartlett's tardy policy:
6 tardies will earn you a lunch detention
12 tardies will earn you a day of ISS
24 tardies results in 2 days of ISS
And additional tardies will result in additional discipline.
Also be aware that if you are 15 minutes late or you leave class for that long, you are truant which will result in a Thursday school. Thank you for planning ahead and showing up on time!
Remember - Excused and Unexcused tardies are both counted.
The Tardy count resets every quarter.
Department Details
Welcome to the Science Department
“Science is fun. Science is curiosity. We all have natural curiosity. Science is a process of investigating. It is posing questions and coming up with a method. It is delving in.” – Sally Ride
We offer a variety of physical and life science classes, including AP level coursework at Bartlett High School. As Sally Ride said, science is about investigation rather than just memorization. We strive to give students hands-on experiences in their science classes. If your child/student is in need of extra help, please contact their teacher. Tutoring is generally available during lunch or upon request.
