Who we are

ASDEPP is a non-profit association constituted in September 2020 by a group of people, most of them with their own homes in the Municipality of Pollença, moved by the concern of seeing the continuous and progressive deterioration of the municipality, in concrete of Port de Pollença and the quality of the sea water in the Bay, increasingly deficient.

ASDEPP aims to be a connecting element between the institutions and the members of the association and other physical persons or corporate entities who want to help recover and improve the waters of the Bay.

Purposes of asdepp

The maintenance and conservation of the entire maritime and land environment of the Bay and Port of Pollença, promoting and protecting its elements and values.

Establish the necessary synergies with the various Public Administrations, encouraging their activity and helping them to fulfill the aims of the Association.

Actively disseminate and defend the environmental and cultural values of our surroundings in the Bahía and Port de Pollença.

Channel the right of civil society to act and participate, with its own voice, in the common problems that affect all the residents of the Bay and Port de Pollença.

Study the impacts on the environment (water, relief, soil, landscape, atmosphere, flora and fauna), as well as ensure the protection of natural spaces.

Weave social participation networks from any field (collectives, social movements and entities, Public Administration, neighborhood associations, etc.).

Transparency is one of the fundamental values that govern the work of ASDEPP. Here we present the main actions of 2020 to 2023, as well as the economic report until February 28th, 2023 (in spanish only, version to download).

monitoring study of the state of the marine environment of the bay of pollença (2021)

From May to September, a continuous monitoring of physical-chemical and biological parameters was carried out to determine the quality of water, sediment and sand samples at different sampling points in the Bay of Pollença. The results can be downloaded in this link (in spanish only). An additional point was added at the mouth of the outfall next to the RCNPP breakwater (39°54'17.4 "N 3°05'19.2 "E) as of 20 July 2021 and at the mouth of the outfall in front of the military base as of 6 September.
