Art and Yearbook
My name is Mrs. LeeAnna Raxter and this is my second year as the art teacher at Belton Middle School. I completed my undergraduate work in 2013 at Anderson University and obtained my Master’s Degree in 2016 at Anderson University. This is my second year teaching art at Belton Middle School but my 9th year teaching art. I worked at Robert Anderson Middle School for four years, at Pickens Middle School for one year, and McKissick Elementary School for two years before that. I am married to a career fireman, Curtis, and we have two of the sweetest little boys in the world, Henry (4) and Patrick (2). We are BIG Clemson Tiger fans in my family, we love Clemson. My husband and I get season tickets every year and go to every home football game that we can. GO TIGERS!
I look forward to a rewarding year as we explore various techniques, artists, media, art history, and subjects in art. Students will focus on the basic skills in art: Elements of Art, Principles of Design, Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, and Printmaking. Art is taught progressively, starting at the level they are in. Each skill is meant to build on the previous skill in some way. Creativity, originality, neatness, design/composition, and expression are encouraged in all works of art. I am excited to see the talent that my students show me this year!
