Weekly Reviews
Students will have weekly reviews every week! These reviews are homework assignments that are to be completed as a grade. The students will have access to the weekly reviews every Friday and they are due the following Friday. Weekly reviews usually contain about ten questions and partial credit will be given based on work provided. Students must show work for the problems and complete them by the due date! These weekly reviews are extremely important for review of new and old material. As the year progresses, the weekly reviews will ask questions from the previous nine-weeks. This is a great way to review for unit tests and the end of the year test!!
Classroom Rules and Procedures
1. Be on time and prepared for class.
2. Listen to instructions and follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
4. Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.
5. Be respectful to yourself and others.
Retake Policy
Students will have the opportunity to retake two tests each nine weeks. Retakes must be completed within two weeks of the distribution of the original grade. Students are not automatically going to receive a retake for any of their tests. The students have to show corrective action (tutoring, review packet, etc. - up to teacher discretion) within the first week after the test was given before they are given an opportunity to retake.
Grading Scale
Major assessments = 45% of total grade
Quizzes = 30% of total grade
Classwork/participation = 25% of total grade
A= 100-90
B= 89-80
C= 79-70
D= 69-60
F= 59-0
