Letter Formation Tips
–Try letter formation apps like iWriteWords and Little Writer or similar apps.
–Make “starting points” for each letter using a crayon, marker, or small sticker.
–Use consistent terminology. Attic, house and basement to refer to where a letter should “live”.
–Use a hands-on approach. Allow children to build letters using Wikki Stix, legos, or play dough. Have kids trace letters cut out of sandpaper or trace over letters with puffy paint or a hot glue gun to make them more touch-friendly!
