Originally from Canada, Jeff has coached age group swimming across the country, in Ottawa, Calgary and Victoria. Jeff spent 4 years as head coach at the University of Guelph and 10 years as head coach at the University of Waterloo where he was named the OUA conference Coach of the Year in 2015 by his coaching peers. Besides producing national champions, in his final four years as coach at Waterloo more than half his team were recognized as Academic All-Canadians.

Beyond his coaching skills, Jeff’s strengths are his leadership and organizational skills. He chaired the Provincial Coaches Association and the Canadian University Coaches Association. During his tenure, Jeff was instrumental in a major overhaul of the Canadian age group swim development program that emphasized long term development of swimmers and appropriate competitive opportunities. He was also the Head of Ethics & Professional Practices for the Canadian Swim Coaches Association.
