What age groups can try out for the 2025-2026 season?
Players born in years 2008-2017 are eligible to try out for the 2025-2026 season.
When are tryouts for the 2025-2026 Season?
Tryouts are scheduled for August 26, 27 & 28.
Players MUST attend all three days of tryouts.
If my player was on an ASC Team last year, does he/she need to attend try outs again?
Yes, every player needs to try out for a spot on a team roster each season. Previous placement on a team does not guarantee a roster spot.
How do I register for tryouts?
The link for Tryout Registration will be open later this summer! Check back in July 2025.
Does my player need a physical to attend tryouts?
No, physicals are not needed unless players are offered a spot on a team. Physicals must then be turned in prior to the first game.
If my player had a physical last year, does he/she need another one?
Yes, physicals expire after one year.
Do I need a physical translated into Italian?
Yes, you can get an Italian version of the physical from the NSA Naples Hospital.
How much are the Team Fees?
Team Fees for the 2025-2026 season are € 500 (includes uniforms, warm ups, & backpack).
How many players/what size fields do the teams play on?
Games are played on smaller fields with a varying numbers of players on the field depending on the age group of the team. There are 6v6, 7v7, and 9v9 games that take place throughout the league.
When does the season start?
The season starts in mid-September and runs through mid-May.
When are practices and games?
Practices are on Tuesdays & Thursdays on Support Site typically beginning at 6pm. Games are played on Saturdays and/or Sundays with the occasional weekday game if we are unable to play on the weekend due to an American or Italian holiday.
Where are games played?
Games are played in town against local Italian teams at their home fields. Many games are within a 20-30 minute radius of Support Site.
We are new to the area and missed tryouts in August. Is it too late to have my player join?
ASC allows for a rolling tryout throughout the season.
New players will participate in 2-3 practices with their age group for evaluation. Although rolling tryouts are offered, you are not guaranteed a roster spot. If a player is offered a roster spot it may be as an active player OR as a practice player (no games, only practices).
Roster spot decisions are based on player's soccer ability, coachability, existing team size, and games remaining.
